My favorite book of all time is by who I consider to be the best American writer of all time. Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller was banned in the United States from 1934 until 1961. Filthy and artistic at the same time, crude yet sensitive, Miller delivers on every level. He tickles your funny bone then widens your eyes with offensive statements.

This is a book I read almost 20 years ago, and it seems fresh each time I re-read it.
