We’ve all been there. You’re in a fine suit, and at dinner, drink orders are easy. The appropriate wine paired with your meal. But then, you hit a bar afterwards. Now, if you’re sitting in the corner one on one with your significant other (or insignificant other for that matter) you can continue with wine, perhaps even a Martini.
But what happens if you’re with a buddy, or a business associate, and you’re either standing or sitting at the bar? Wine? No way. A martini? Are you crazy? Unless it’s a ” Martini Bar” it’s a bit too androgynous for that real estate.
Classy, yet masculine. That’s what you’re going for.
A Manhattan on the rocks in an old fashioned glass, with a twist if you prefer. It’s important that you mention “in an old fashioned, or rocks glass”. If not, you may have it served yet again, in a martini glass. This is a Gentleman’s drink that feels masculine. You can pull right up to the bar wearing your best suit, order it, and show the bartender and whoever you’re with, that you know what you’re doing.
Of course you could just order a pint of beer, but it better not be a cheap domestic.
